ACSESS 2010 Staffing Industry Awards

Canada Staffing Industry Leaders were recognized at ACSESS Awards Luncheon held in  Mississauga, ON on May 13, 2010.

ACSESS is delighted to announce the winners and acknowledge it members for their outstanding contributions and dedication to the Association, the community and to the staffing profession across Canada.  The 2010 award winners are as follows:

The ACSESS Circle of Excellence
Preserving the past and honouring Canada’s most dedicated industry leaders, the Circle of Excellence includes all Award of Excellence recipients, as well as past recipients of the Bill Coke Award and the APPAC Outstanding Contributor Award.

ACSESS Awards

ACSESS Award of Excellence
The premier ACSESS award given in recognition of the recipient’s outstanding contributions to the Association and the staffing industry in Canada. This honour is given only in years when an individual stands out for their exemplary commitment and leadership.

ACSESS Community Service Award
Presented to an ACSESS member company that has shown an extraordinary commitment to, and genuine concern for, the community at large. To be eligible for this award, a company and its employees must be involved in public service activities that return value to the community by supporting charities, educational and other community groups.

Leadership Award
Presented to recognize and show appreciation for exceptional volunteerism by an individual ACSESS member.

Special Recognition Award
Presented to recognize and show appreciation for exceptional volunteerism by an individual ACSESS member.

Health & Safety Award
Presented to a company in the staffing services industry that has demonstrated outstanding performance in workplace health and safety.

Chapter of the Year Award
The chapter of the year is selected based on a regional chapter’s support of the ACSESS mission and key objectives, and delivery of services to members at the local level.

It was a tremendous honour for us to receive the ACSESS Health & Safety Award in 2009. At Unique Personnel, we are passionate about how important it is for our employees to work in a safe environment. We believe they have the right to come home to their families each day, safe and sound. We care for our employees and continuously focus on improving workplace health and safety through education, training, and enforcement of regulations. We shared the news of our ACSESS Award for Health & Safety with each and every employee. It was a great morale booster for all.

ACSESS Chapter of the Year Award
National Capital Chapter
ACSESS members in National Capital Chapter were both thrilled and honoured to receive the 2009 Chapter of the Year Award. Preparation of our chapter submission was in itself a significant undertaking as we wanted to ensure that the documents provided clearly conveyed the exceptional commitment made by many chapter members over a long period of time. While efforts in our Nation’s Capital have focused on the relationship with PWGSC, the procurement process and most importantly the standard of service that can be offered by all staffing services regardless of company size, other chapters may have different areas in which they have excelled. Without exception, however, recognition of the dedication of ACSESS members at the grassroots level is a wonderful way to be able to say thank you to each and every one for their continued support. We accepted this award with pride and it was a great morale booster as chapter members prepared for their next show of unity on behalf of our industry.
